Services/Our Approach
At Gippsland Natural Veterinary, Dr Jacqui Mills does not perform surgical procedures or administer sedation during home visits.
This decision is made with one priority in mind: the safety and wellbeing of your pet.
While home visits provide a calm, familiar, and low-stress environment for many animals, procedures involving sedation or anaesthesia require specialised equipment, dedicated monitoring, emergency medications, and a controlled clinical setting to ensure the highest standard of patient safety.
By limiting our services to those that can be safely and effectively performed in the home environment, we can provide thorough veterinary care while maintaining the safest possible outcomes for your pet.
Should your pet require sedation, anaesthesia, surgery, advanced imaging, or hospital-based treatment, Dr Jacqui will discuss the available options and arrange referral to an appropriate veterinary hospital or specialist facility.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive, personalised veterinary care in the comfort of your home, while ensuring every pet receives the level of medical support their individual situation requires.
